Where It All Began: A Veneer Unit Near Neemteekar
In 2002, ImpervaBlue Ply started as a small veneer manufacturing unit near Neemteekar, Uttar Pradesh. Our work in those early years was simple but exacting: slicing and supplying precision-cut core veneers to plywood factories across North India. It wasn't glamorous work, but it taught us something that would prove invaluable decades later: an intimate, hands-on understanding of wood grain, moisture behaviour, and bonding chemistry.
Building Depth Before Building Breadth
Through 2008 and the years that followed, we focused on deepening our expertise rather than rushing to expand. Large-scale veneer production gave us a front-row seat to the science behind what makes a wood-based panel perform, and what makes it fail. By 2014, that accumulated knowledge gave us the confidence to diversify into shuttering plywood manufacturing, applying everything we'd learned about veneer quality to the demands of construction-grade formwork boards.
Spotting a Gap No One Else Was Filling
Years of supplying into the construction materials space gave us a clear view of an unmet need: contractors and architects increasingly wanted a shuttering ply that could deliver a flawless concrete surface, but no Indian manufacturer was producing one at scale. In 2024, we committed to solving that problem and began intensive R&D into glass finish surface technology, a process that demands specialised equipment and precision most manufacturing lines aren't built for.
2025: The Launch of India's Glass Finish Shuttering Ply
After a year of rigorous development, testing, and refinement, we launched our glass finish shuttering ply in 2025, available in 10.5mm, 12mm, and 18mm thicknesses. It represents the culmination of a 22-year journey: from slicing veneers in a small unit near Neemteekar to manufacturing one of the rarest, most technically demanding construction materials in India today.
