It requires a completely different approach to lamination: precise temperature control during the hot-press stage, specialised phenolic film application, and multi-stage surface calibration that most manufacturing lines simply aren't built for. The investment in equipment and the loss in production speed make it commercially unattractive for manufacturers chasing volume. That's precisely why, even today, glass finish shuttering ply remains one of the rarest construction materials in the Indian market.
